Carrick studied film & animation at Harvard University, and has released six albums as a singer-songwriter. He’s performed and written music with Empire of the Sun, the Chicks, Michelle Branch, Ludwig Goransson, Phoenix and many more. His music has been featured in films including Lovelace, Support the Girls, and Grace Is Gone. Making his own music videos led to directing videos for artists like Weezer, Common, Whitney Houston and Amandla Stenberg. His scripts have been finalists in the Screencraft Horror, Screencraft Drama, Page, and Austin Film Festival Screenwriting Competitions. A recent play he wrote was performed by the experimental theater group, Public Assembly. His first feature, Fanfiction, a dark, surreal drama set in the world of Soundcloud Rap, will start production early next year.
